I came back to OSRS and started a GIM with a few friends three months ago, who were also relatively inexperienced. We had issues getting the group formed at the Node, every time we went to create, the group would implode and my friend would be logged out. My friend had to leave, so I made an alt account to try and get the group working. Ended up getting it going and worked out it was probably something to do with the group name, not that it was rude. Two weeks ago, my new GIM account needs some fishing and mining levels so I think great, why don’t I play this alt I made. Maybe I use it to get resources. Maybe I give it to a family member to play (at this point I don’t care). I go to log in and the account has been banned for serious rule breaking. I cannot stress enough, this account has never left the node. It is on a 2FA enabled Jagex account. I have done absolutely nothing on this account. Two weeks later I am yet to receive a reply on my appeal. Nothing. Their own auto-message says to check in a few days. If an account can just be banned out of the blue like this as a false alarm and then you hear NOTHING for two weeks, why even play? No company has been this trash. Blizzard, Net Ease, Square, even NEXON make Jagex look like an incompetent, poorly run, greedy pack of amateurs. This is not a ban appeal. It’s just a message to those of you still playing. If it can happen to me it 100% can happen to you too. Me wanting to play this account was before the membership price rise. Believe me, that’s all gone out the window too. submitted by /u/trickybagames
