Some of the earlier methods that have allowed me to purchase membership with a one-time fee have seemingly been scrapped, and you’re basically required to subscribe instead unless you pay more and buy bonds. I tried numerous different ways to purchase membership with preexisting balance that I have but these options prompted me to enter CC for recurring subscription. I don’t mind subscriptions existing as an option but it almost feels like it’s an intentional, systematic restriction on freedom of choice. Being able to top up your account with days would be such an easy feature to implement (let’s be honest), and I think that at these prices there should be some freedom to choose how you want to pay for your membership and when. In addition, I have heard that there are some “hidden” plans like one-day membership for $1 for RS3 mobile (also means 1 day OSRS membership). Why can’t these plans be clearly visible and equally accessible for everyone? Players of one platform should not be given more freedom and variety than others. That’s anti-consumer and unequal.
