Yesterday my (F22) boyfriend (M21) said that in some cases he thought hitting a child was necessary as punishment. I was really shocked! His argument was, “the majority of men would think hitting their child was appropriate if, for example, they called their mother a bitch.” I disagree. I believe that corporal punishment is very frowned upon these days and that the majority of men/fathers are against it. I am referring to US social norms, at least. I can’t speak to other cultures/countries. What do you all think on the matter? What opinions do you hear from other men? submitted by /u/blueyellowdust
