As kids are growing, they are watching television, their friend circle is growing and so are the influences. While we are generally very accommodating with their requests, we also want them to learn about the value of money. It is not that we cannot afford a certain things for them, but we do not do it purposefully so that they grow up grounded and not as privileged kids. For example, a lot of kids in their class wear an apple watch (according to parents its for safety!!!), and my kids want it too. If we give them Apple watches, we feel it would just spoil them and if we do not get them the watches, we are afraid that the kids may get inferiority complex. As fathers how do you manage such situations or am I overthinking? submitted by /u/Tight_Application751
