I inherited two cars that I want to import from Germany into Switzerland: a classic car (built in 1990) and a newer model from 2004. I do not yet have a certificate of inheritance. I only have the will and the death certificate. Can I drive to the Swiss border with one of the cars on German license plates, request form 18.46 from customs, and then enter the country? What documents must be presented at the time of first entry? Is the certificate of inheritance required immediately, or can it be submitted later?
