I don’t have an Adam’s apple. I don’t just mean it’s small, I never developed one. My voice is nasally and somewhat high-pitched. It’s not so high that I get mocked, but I’ve recently had a revelation: people often have trouble hearing me when I speak and multiple people have assumed I was gay with no outward indication, and I think my voice might be why. I have an underdeveloped larynx, so my voice doesn’t have a masculine “boom”. I might have the voice of a theatrical gay man. I’m on prescription TRT with a dosage of 125mg/week, but it’s done nothing for my voice. I’m average height with a large muscular-ish frame (57cm shoulder-to-shoulder), so my voice doesn’t suit me at all. Am I cooked? I’m not gay, just for the record. submitted by /u/OVOxTokyo
