With many of us job hunting currently, I was wondering how important this “Arbeitszeugnis” is when submitting job applications. As an expat, I wasn’t aware that this was a thing here in Switzerland and didn’t ask a former employer for it when I left to job for another 2 years ago. Now it feels strange to go and ask for it retrospectively, but I’m hearing that it could hurt the job hunt. I do have the one from my latest employer which they provided following reorg.
