I was laidoff 2 years ago and got 6 months on top. Meaning my salary went through the roof. My problem is that my provisorische Rechnung is way to high for this year. I called the tax agency and they told me I can just calculte it myself and pay only what I believe is true. all sounds good but I am always off - because of deduction and other stuff. Apparently as long as I am not lower than the final bill I am fine else I will get Verzugszins. But since the final often come like 1-2 years later I am unsure what to do. any advice? submitted by /u/bikesailfreak
