I just got a letter from my bank saying: I need to sign this form to confirm I am not a US citizen and that I am taxed here in Switzerland . It feels surreal to me, since I have nothing to do with the US. I am an EU citizen and It’s just baffling to me that I am required to do this. Has anyone gotten this FACTA form from their bank? Should I sign it? What if I don’t? I have nothing to hide but on the other hand it feels like I am forced to prove something to someone that I shouldn’t need to do in the first place. submitted by /u/smexsa
