I’m 26. Somewhat stocky. Been told multiple times in my life that I’m fast at running so fairly athletic. I used to lift a lot back in the day and had a good physique + strength but I’ve lost most of it due to being out of shape. I could probably regain all that strength back fairly quickly though. My biggest problem though is that I have small hands. I compared my hands to my older sister who is 5’4 and I have the same size hands as her. I imagine this will significantly affect grip strength With all of this information, which martial art will allow me to physically defend myself against people that try to mess with me? I wanna emphasise that I’m not an asshole looking to pick fights with people. I’d prefer to avoid physical confrontations with people but I’ve been in fights in the past that I tried to deescalate submitted by /u/Nozoroth
