A few weeks ago, I saw a post where a woman was wondering if she should talk to her gym crush, and a lot of men were saying it almost never happens. That reminded me of something that happened to me last year. I (29F) finally went up and talked to my gym crush… literally two days before I moved to another city. We had been exchanging glances for weeks, and I couldn’t understand why he never approached. For context, I usually get a fair amount of attention from men. I ended up going for it because he genuinely seemed interested. At first he looked surprised, but then he took over the conversation, asked questions, smiled, and even seemed nervous. He definitely seemed interested. He had that lingering look and he stuttered. Then a trainer interrupted us, and that was it. We didn’t exchange numbers or social media. He had my name, so technically he could’ve found me — but he never did. From his perspective, I probably just came up to him and then disappeared. So I’m curious: How would you interpret this if you were him? And how long would you remember a woman who made the first move? submitted by /u/drgfeu
