ToB rewards were made when powercreep was very frowned upon, and I understand that mentality. I was there when it was polled. But it has been a long time and community sentiment has changed. ToA has way more completions and the items still hold more value. And other pieces of content have powercrept ToB items to the point where they have very little use. Sang staff is just an expensive trident of the swamp and the Eye from doom is probably easier to get on an iron. I know a lot of irons that are opting for doom first in their item progression. Masori is so tanky that justiciar armor isn’t even used for easy Inferno first time clears anymore. Why use the extra inventory space. Rapier is still ok for slayer, but Nox Hally is used in more places. I even see the boppers get used for a lot. There are some simple changes to make the weapons more impactful, give Rapier a spec attack or a passive effect (Fang has both of these, and it’s a more common drop at the easier raid). Reduce sang staff cost (800gp per cast vs 1300gp per cast of shadow, which has insane dps). Not to mention the main mega in the upcoming raid step on some of Scythes use cases. (Assuming that is what they go with.) It’s sad to hear on the podcast devs tout ToB as the best raid and have such lackluster rewards compared to the other raids. submitted by /u/NarrowStatement6956
