There was a post today on a women’s sub from a girl that starts with “hi, so i (16f) recently sent nudes to a guy who goes to my school. this is my first time ever sending nudes to someone at my school outside of romantic partners, and i’m anxious to say the least.” First, I’m shocked that she’s 16 and sending nudes of herself. To be honest I think it’s foolish for a woman of any age to send nudes of herself to anyone. Maybe not so bad if she doesn’t show her face or anything that identifies her, but still, not a wise move since the phone, etc. identifies who it’s from. Second, what’s even more shocking are the responses. The overwhelming majority are giving her advice on the legal ramifications if the guy does anything nefarious with her pictures. One of the responses starts with “Have you seen a therapist?”. Very few telling her to never send nudes. If I had kids I think I’d have a quarterly repeating entry on my calendar to go over with them the rules for dos and don’ts on their phone (and computer). submitted by /u/lumpynose
