Long story short: I’m an average-looking guy with decent ice-breaking skills, so I can usually get dates without much trouble. But there’s this colleague of mine who’s very attractive, yet he’s terrible with social skills. Whenever I approach a girl I like and try to get her number, he always jumps into conversation shamelessly and start talking to them. He never makes a move on his own and girls obviously shift their attention to him since he is a pretty boy, leaving me completely in the background—as if I don’t exist. This has happened 4–5 times now, and it’s getting really frustrating. How do I deal with this situation without creating drama? Yeah, I know I don’t own anyone, but I’m genuinely putting in the effort to meet people and get dates… and then these guys just show up and get the results over my hard work. It’s really frustrating submitted by /u/SnooGuavas6069
