A New RAND study just dropped. 67% of students now say AI is eroding their critical thinking skills, up from 54% a few months ago. At the same time, AI homework use surged, middle schoolers from 30% to 46%, high schoolers from 49% to 63%. So they know what it’s doing to them and they can’t stop using it. At what point do we stop calling this a productivity tool and start calling it what it actually looks like?
