Disclaimer: I’m not looking for advice, I’m not taking anyone’s advice, and I know every situation is different, I just want to see what y’all think about when it comes to this. I know every answer will be different, that’s the interesting part. Okay so based on your current situation, what MSRP or price range would you be looking at based on your current income? And what car would that end up being? And maybe, if you have an opinion on it, what percentage of your annual income would you be comfortable spending on a fun car if you had absolutely no debts, your retirement accounts were maxed out and you had savings. You can use household income if more than one income source. I’ll go first. My income: ~$75,000 Household income: ~$150,000 Current situation: I’d be comfortable spending $50-60k on a fun car so I’d be looking at a Camaro SS 1LE or a used Corvette Grand Sport, maybe a used Z06. If no debts/expenses: maybe up to $125,000. So I’d look into the newly announced Corvette Grand Sport or a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing manual. And maybe a kei truck.
