“Venenatis will now spawn slightly fewer spiderlings. It will also now only change phases every other attack if there are more than 10 players, rather than just 5” I’m not sure the reason/s for changing these 2 things but please reconsider this change. I’ve heard from others it’s to help groups when massing the boss but it has killed the boss for so many Venenatis enthusiasts. There may be a very small amount of Venenatis anti PKers out there but to put them to the back of the pile just to allow an even smaller number of players to kill the boss in masses (usually livestream masses) is unfair. Venenatis in my opinion is the greatest boss in the game, the boss fight alone is pretty basic but the infinite variety when PKers are involved makes it among the best content in the game. These changes have made it so much easier for PKers to come in, wipe the floor with you and just leave. For those that don’t know the Spiderlings increase Venenatis’ power, meaning you get hit harder through prayer and to have fewer of them spawn drastically offsets the balance between the PKer and the PVMer. The ecosystem before the update was spot on! The PVMer would be risking 1-3m usually, with 4 items to help protect themselves vs the boss and any number of PKers. Both sides had good opportunity to utilise the bosses attack to their advantage and potentially smite their opponent. After the change, having fewer Spiderlings means the PKers take far less damage than they did before, giving them a much greater upper hand. For those who have ever killed the boss and brought along anti PK gear will know how amazing the content is. Just look up YouTube videos from people such as: Pure Spam, PoisonedPotion, Minty and TgKun (currently Rank 3 KC with 121k kills). I don’t believe (although I could be wrong) these changes were polled. I feel like a lot of the changes made in the recent update were simply to stir some interest in PVP in general (I must add that most of the changes yesterday were actually beneficial). If a JMod sees this post I would like to ask simply what were the reasons for the above changes? Did they get much engagement from the people involved in this content before changing it? Please don’t let this slide under the rug for 2 years and fix it eventually. We had an amazing (possibly the best) piece of content which was balanced so well for both teams and this update has destroyed it. Thank you for reading submitted by /u/G123155
