For context, my husband was invited by a friend and upon searching, it’s just a regular coffee shop with this anime-acting girls dressed in maid outfits. Not particularly my style but he just feels like he has to go because his friend invited him. I also feel like maid cafes are a hangout spot for single men. I also don’t think this is appropriate. He says he’ll just not go if I’m not okay with it but I told him that just go as he already said yes. I said that because I feel like I’m just jealous and overreacting. I also asked that what if it’s the other way around, would he allow me to go to a cafe full of butler or men playing characters? And he said he’s fine with it.
