It seems that there are two potential outcomes to our current AI moment… Either: AI is as powerful as Altman et al would have us believe, meaning millions of jobs will be lost, meaning the global economy tanks or AI is not as powerful as Altman et al would have us believe, meaning trillions of dollars of investment have been wasted, meaning the global economy tanks So either way the global economy tanks.
