I have this issue every few months when the temperature changes where I chafe, it gets pretty bad but this time it’s pretty unbearable, I can’t walk without it thrashing. Usually I can just slap some sudocrem on let it air out and it’ll get less irritated and I can go on my day more comfortably but it’ll still be there, but I’ll be comfortable. Right now sudocrem isn’t working, went commando for a while but it still stung like a bee, so I read online that cold baths can help soothe it, I’m in a cold bath rn just letting it do what it needs to do, but, what do you guys do? I’d rather just like, general tips because I’m not gonna go to the store or a pharmacy rn since it’s kinda late if you wanna suggest any medication or anything, but if you do wanna, then I’m open to it, I’m based in England just in case that makes any difference. submitted by /u/CoachDictatorer

Talc/baby powder used to work wonders. Before they changed it to straight corn starch…
Depending on what part of you is chafing–legs, balls, underside, connecting tissue between legs and body–you can work around it.
For example, some men find the pouch in front to lift and keep air breathing, then use ass-less briefs to keep the area breezy.
Alternatively, loose boxers, loose clothing… make sure to let your area breath.
When taking baths, dont use super cold. A nice regular normal temperature can help, but add oatmeal.
Your chafing could be a form of sensitivity, either psoriasis or other. Oatmeal is a known help for itching and burning sensations.
Look into body lotions with oatmeal.
That should be a start. Good luck!
