I am on the $100 plan. Today is the first time since the peak hour 5hr change that I have tried to do something during the day. I was trying to tie up some leftover works on a personal project before I sign in to my day job. The context was getting a bit long at around 170k, so I manually ran a compaction. And bang! 11% 5hr session usage. I get that it’s cold cache and whatnot, but this is just getting a little ridiculous. I get that Anthropic is probably losing money on my personal subscription, and is doing that just so people will bring Claude to their workplace – but at this level of usability for subscription users they might as well ban subscription users during the day. I guess it’s a subtle hint from Anthropic to lay down my personal project and get back to grinding my day job, using company Claude, which I spend like $30 in API cost per day. Oh well. /rant submitted by /u/sqdcn
