I’m on a $200 max plan and like many here, was burning through limits quickly. I’m working on a 350k+ django/python/react/postgres project but last week quickly hitting my 5 hr limit quicker than before after they announced the peak performance chagne. I’m EST so my peek window is 8am-2pm…basically my entire working day. After reading many of the bug issues this weekend and looking at my settings this morning, I noticed that the /effort for my opus was set at high . I changed it to auto and it switched all my calls to medium effort. I re-ran some of the calls last week that ate into my usage quickly and this change more than halved it. A /simplify or /requesting-code-review (or any ralph loop, GSD, ECC call) would spawn multiple subagents all at high effort before. One code review spawned 7 opus high effort agents last week and I saw 15% vanish in 15 mins. Now it doesn’t do that. Hopefully it will help some of you out there as well. submitted by /u/hordane
