I’m a Pro plan user, and I wouldn’t consider myself a heavy user at all. Over the past 2–3 weeks, I’ve typically only used around 30–40% of my daily quota, and most of my usage is through the Claude browser for general questions and chats. However, last night I ran into something unexpected. I was simply trying to generate a few Python scripts, and suddenly I hit the 100% usage limit. That was quite surprising and shocked AH… How come with several python code generated files can take that many token?! Today was even worse. I continued in an existing chat with only 1–2 hours of history. I sent two prompts, including a JSON file and a Python script (both under ~1000 lines). Historically, this kind of task costs maybe 2–3% per interaction. This time? 41% for a single exchange. That’s not just inconsistent—it’s borderline unusable. At this rate, a “Pro” plan barely lasts 5–6 prompts before you’re locked out, plus session timeouts on top of it. That defeats the entire purpose of paying for a higher tier. Because right now it honestly feels like either the system has become unreliable, or there’s an intentional shift toward squeezing users now that you think you’ve outpaced competitors. Either way, this isn’t a good look and screw you Claude. submitted by /u/SnooOwls6002
