This honestly sounds like the best of both worlds. there are so many times I want to ask a simple question like “explain to me what the last line does” or “what is the importance of this running this before X” and I end up wasting tokens. curious if the free model specifically of openAI would be a great thing to have installed in your claude environment. Apparently this is a new open source feature OpenAi just made to potentially position themselves as a supplement to Claude so people dont need to go on Claude Max etc. the obvious application is code review which codex is apparently really good at. But for some reason I see myself just using it for all those random little questions and avoiding having to copy stuff into the browser to save tokens submitted by /u/OpinionsRdumb
