Pretty much in the question, I wanted a family but after 17 years together I was told by my partner that she had lied to me and had basically hoped I would forget about it in time. I have a new partner now but at 38 I am starting to think it won’t happen. I have no judgement for those who are childfree by choice, regardless of gender, but it seems there is a lot more support for women who are childfree against their will than men. It is often assumed men don’t care about having a family and men who do not have children are just seen as immature or defective and the general opinion is that it must have been by choice. I wonder how other men handled this situation, how did you make life worth living regardless of children? submitted by /u/No-Role-1766
