I’m a 30M and have never had a girlfriend. I’m good friends with some guys who have long term girlfriends or fiancées. I enjoy their company, but would not trade lives with any of the guys. I really like their girlfriends too, but when I watch them interact with each other sometimes it looks like pure hell. We’re talking about people currently in 4-5 year long relationships. And if they’re letting me see the not so good side, I can’t imagine what it’s like behind closed doors. In my 20s I was excited about dating and got nothing. I was sad a lot of the time and didn’t have much confidence. I felt emotional about my lack of dating experience and that it wasn’t meant for me. Years later, I feel thrilled to be single right now without any heartbreak. In a utopia of find the right person for a loving, devoted relationship, but this world is the antithesis of what you’d find in a hallmark movie. submitted by /u/Standard_Subject_401
