I recently talked to someone for about a week, and we ended up spending quite a bit of time chatting and even doing some study sessions together. The conversations were easy and enjoyable, so there was definitely some level of comfort built. At some point, I realized from my side that I wasn’t feeling the kind of interest that would make me want to take things further. Because of that, I decided to be honest and end it instead of dragging things on. Now I’m feeling a bit conflicted. On one hand, it seems like the right thing to do to avoid leading someone on. On the other hand, it still feels uncomfortable knowing that there was a connection and I chose to step away. So I wanted to ask: 1. How do you personally handle situations where you realize early on that you’re not feeling it? 2. Do you just end it immediately, or give it more time? 3. How do you deal with the guilt or second thoughts after making that decision? Not looking for validation, just trying to understand how others approach this… submitted by /u/thechalant_guy
