honestly im so over the whole “tough it out” mentality and i wanna know if im the only one. i feel like so many of us are literally drowning because we’re taught from day 1 that asking for help or being vulnerable is a “feminine” trait or just makes u look pathetic. it feels like this version of masculinity is just a trap that keeps us lonely and stressed out. like u can be surrounded by friends but still feel totally alone cuz u cant actually say “hey im struggling” without it getting weird or someone telling u to “man up.” do u guys actually feel like u can be your real selves, or are u just playing a character every day just to fit in? is the “silent but strong” thing actually working for anyone or are we all just burnt out and pretending? submitted by /u/abcdefvckvu
