’ve just seen a clip going around of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise fighting and to me, it looked almost perfect. Obviously the keen-eyed will be able to explain why it’s fake and that I’m a scrub for not noticing but just scrolling past I 100% believed it. My question is… are we actually fucked? Are we almost at a point where nothing can be trusted and nothing verified? Do we have any balances in place to make sure this doesn’t get any more out of control than it already is? My work involves me listening to conferences from hundreds of different companies and I can’t remember the last one that didn’t have a section on how AI will drastically change the landscape of their industry. I’m hearing about AI girlfriends and AI authors and AI music and AI workers and it’s honestly doing my head in.
