I’m asking this genuinely, not trying to start a fight or bash anyone. As a woman, it’s hard not to notice how much of social media is filled with really attractive, often highly edited or curated women (cough, cough Megan Fox). I know that’s not real life, but it’s still what’s constantly in front of you guys and us too. So I’m curious, does seeing that kind of content regularly actually affect how you view women in real life, especially your partner? Do you find that it changes your standards at all, even subconsciously? Or is it more like background noise that doesn’t translate to real-life attraction? I think a lot of women compare themselves to that, myself included and wonder how the hell I’m ever supposed to measure up, even being above-average in everyday looks. It’s just a little disheartening. Just trying to understand how it looks from your side. submitted by /u/HumorIsMyLuvLanguage
