I feel bad about it. Last week I matched with a very good-looking girl. I’ve never really dated online because I usually met people in real life, but as a postgrad working long hours, I wasn’t meeting many new people, so I thought I’d give it a try. She had very attractive face and body pictures. We texted for a few days, and I asked for her number. She gave it to me, so everything was going well. Because I’m quite busy at the moment, I suggested a dinner date since it fits my schedule. Today I had some time and looked her up on Instagram. I found her instantly, and to say the least, she has gained a very noticeable amount of weight (I would guess around 30-40lb) compared to the pictures on her Hinge profile. The tricky part is that her face pictures seem quite recent and taken at good angles, but the full-body pictures look like they’re a few years old. I thought about just meeting her anyway, even though I’m no longer really attracted. But in the end, I decided to cancel and told her I’d be away for work for some time, which is often true, just not for that specific date. submitted by /u/Broken1571718
