Hey everyone, I recently had an experience at the University of Zurich (biology program) that I found a bit surprising, and I’m curious if this is normal in Switzerland. After an exam, I asked if I could review it (just to see my answers and how it was graded, no copies or anything). But this was completely denied. I only received my points, nothing else. They said it’s because some questions are reused (“anchor questions”), so they don’t allow exam reviews. Or basically the professors are to lazy to write new exams?! At other places I’ve studied (including ETH Zurich), it was always possible to look at your exam under supervision, so this felt a bit strange to me. Is this common practice at UZH or in Switzerland in general? Or is this more of a department-specific thing, because I hear from more and more students in the Biology Department that this happened to them as well! Would be really interested to hear your experiences. submitted by /u/wildebumblebee
