Hello, I grew up outside of Switzerland but my Dad was born, raised, and lived in Switzerland (Nidwalden) until he moved away in his thirties. He doesn’t listen to or play much Swiss music but introduced me to Mani Matter, whom I love and find his music beautiful even if I can’t understand the lyrics. A bar near where I lived played Eisbar, which introduced me to Grauzone, whom I am now a big fan of. My dad doesn’t know or like them, though it is funny because he really likes Stephan Eicher’s “Dejeuner en Paix” which I am not a huge fan of. So who are the other Swiss artists or bands I should listen to? I also like Tinu Heiniger, perhaps not as much as Mani Matter, but still quite good. My dad mentioned some more modern singer who Marco Odermatt apparently likes (can’t remember the name), but while he wasn’t bad it felt quite artificial compared to Mani Matter or Tinu Heiniger. submitted by /u/abertbrijs
