A lot of times I have been talking or chatting with a girl (who has shown interest by coming up to me, has asked me to buy them a drink, or has made repetitive eye contact with me), and things will start off great. I’ll introduce myself to her, her friend or friend group, and then I’ll sit down with her, converse with her, and buy her a drink/dance with her to music. Then, either one of two things will happen. One, her friend or group of friends will come up to us and pull her away, or two, they’ll end up leaving with their friend or group of friends. Sometimes, the group or best friend she’s with ends up wanting to leave or go somewhere else, and I completely understand and respect that. However, there’s been multiple instances where I have been asked by the girl I am talking to that I should come as well, but her friends have said no. In those situations, it’s clear she’s still interested in continuing to talk or getting to know me better, as shown by her initiative to include me. I understand I can get her number and social media and take her on a date or talk to her another time, and I am not complaining about that. Rather, I am just very curious as to why this seems to be a recurring theme. Has this ever happened to you? submitted by /u/Puzzleheaded-Cat-815
