Time for you to brag. What have you done recently where you stepped outside your comfort zone even a little, attempted something new, and succeeded? As an example, my recent success was I fixed my gas furnace. It had died, so I called a repair company to fix it and they told me what was wrong with it but then instead of quoting me to a price to fix it claimed I needed a new furnace (for approximately $10k) since mine was “too old”. I found the correct replacement part, an inducer motor, and for less than $250 and 20 minutes of time the furnace was working again. While working on it I was terrified that I would break something else or not install it correctly but in the end it was way easier than I ever thought it would be. If the contractor had offered to repair it for $500 I would be slightly poorer and wouldn’t have learned anything. So how about you? Repair something? Make something? Bake or cook something new? Change a tire for the first time? Solve the P vs NP problem? Please no disparaging other’s successes even if you think it’s “easy”. submitted by /u/waisanw
