Anthropic & the Claude Code team seems to suffer some kind of slopocalypse because their teams can’t seem to figure out where the recent usage limit bugs are from and they’re somewhat even denying they exist and/or admitting they can’t (or won’t) solve them, meanwhile users here have done their jobs for them. I would have liked at the very least transparent PR but oh well. I like Claude Code as a tool but I’m considering cancelling my subscription with Anthropic because it’s insane to have half your session usage gone for asking Opus 4.6 to create a plan for something to implement. That thing wasn’t too hard and the codebase was insanely small so I can’t even imagine what it would have been if it was done within a larger code base. Paying something 100€ a month to be that limited is insane I found out no later than today that you can run custom models within Claude Code via Ollama cloud and, I hope, without being constrained to the Anthropic usage limits. I have a couple of questions:
- Do I get the whole Claude Code tooling even with non-Anthropic models?
- Will the bugs from within Claude Code also impact the usage limits of Ollama? Or is it just Anthropic/Claude related?
- Would something like Agent Teams work with custom models or its for Anthropic models? This whole shitshow is a prime example of Cognitive/Technical debt becoming way too big for them to handle. submitted by /u/LumonScience
