I found a video of a woman talking about how a man’s reaction is based on how a woman treats herself. Verbatim: (addressed presumably to people with male partners) If you love yourself, they love you If you love them, they love themselves If you take care of yourself, they’ll take care of you If you take care of them, they’ll take care of themselves If you put your energy into yourself, they’ll put their energy into you If you put your energy into them, they’ll put their energy into themselves And a lot more similar analogies. I understand this could be a stereotyping question, but I’m trying to see if there is some sort of a collective psychology behind this or something. I have seen real-life proof of some of this but too little to see if it’s just an isolated case. And I’m afraid that if I ask male friends this question, they might answer based on what they think I want to hear. I’m just curious how much of this is true so, I’m turning to the anonymity of the internet to hear real perspectives and answers on this. Thanks! submitted by /u/Anzu_Anon
