Help me understand the thinking and male processing here. Experienced this the other day. Was walking next to a road with fairly heavy traffic that was stopped at a light. From the corner of my eye I see a window roll down and a guy wave towards/at me. I know it was towards me because I was the only one on the sidewalk and the traffic from the opposing direction was stopped and clear for a moment. I only saw it briefly and outwardly ignored it. Not upset that it happened, but wanting to understand the why. What would motivate a guy to do this. Why wave from stopped traffic with no real chance at further actions/conversation or another interaction? Why bother to do this? Edit: For context it wasn’t simply the farmer wave as you’re passing someone in a vehicle rather directive but not silent catcalling obnoxiously so. submitted by /u/whatever-bee27
