Hi! I’m a 17F, and this has not been “bugging me” per say, just made me perplexed. For the last year, i became more social and had more friends, and this happened. For the first time this happened when a friend 16M of my friend 18F followed me on instagram and started spamming, replying to every story of mine and saying “you look scary” “i’m terrified of you”, and i told my friend about it and she told me that she’ll talk with him, and to block him. Later he offered to pay for our cinema tickets as an apology to me, however i declined. The boyfriend of the same friend, has recently also told her that i look off putting, and that he’s scared of me. And yesterday, my mom’s coworker, asked her if i didn’t like him, she asked him why would i not like him? He’s been nice to us, sometimes giving us a ride, buying me a shirt. He told her that when he was driving us home from another town, everytime he looked at me i was staring back at him with this “piercing heavy gaze”. I don’t really understand why they say that. My friend would never say anything bad about me and i’m sure of that, besides, if she was talking about me behind my back she wouldn’t say it to me face. And what perplexes me even more is that they never call me ugly, and if they were thinking that i’m ugly they would either say it, or they would not say anything about my looks at all. I’m of average height and weight, i’m blonde with blue eyes. I’m not alternative, so it’s also couldn’t be the reason. I definitely don’t consider myself ugly, i’ve had a boyfriend last year, and a couple guys at my school told me they have a crush on me, so i’m really confused. submitted by /u/sparklyprincessss
