It’s not obvious yet. But it will be. As AI lowers language barriers, the relative advantage of being fluent in English will shift. As a non-native speaker, I rely on AI to make my thoughts accessible. People keep focusing on whether something is written by AI. That misses the point. There are plenty of people who are fluent in a language and say nothing. We see that every day. Talking to someone like that is just boring. There’s nothing there. What matters is not whether it’s AI, but whether there is anything behind the words. It’s not about how polished the language is.
