so I have a client that I build a mobile app for booking bus tickets. so the first step was getting bus agencies to join and he had a hard time then he got a partner to get a deal with government to standardize the system nation wide… so that partner doesn’t like me or does not wants any communication with me what so ever and I face them a lot about that and even move to a competitor for a while but that didn’t work and they approach me again. so the problem is there is a meeting after tomorrow they need me to attend and I suppose to arrange it with the guy who does like me and I was set to travel today last minute call. yesterday in the evening the original client told me about traveling today because tomorrow there is a pre-meeting and the day after that there is the big one with the a presentation they need me to present. and he gave me the number of the new partner to arrange for the meeting he didn’t pick up yesterday but early morning he did with asking where I am and then asking me to travel tomorrow I ask about the presentation he said not to contact him about and return to the client I contest saying this would be a failer and If he really don’t like talking to me is best for both of us if the look for someone else. and he said he will send all details to the client and I should only communicate with that the client is abroad in another time zone and he will not attend the meeting. so you see the mess I am supposed to travel 700km to attend a meeting I have no idea what is about I heard they need to drastically change the scope so they can compete and I am sure they does not think it through and I am 100%sure the app will fail if there is no real care. and I have no idea about my stay travel expenses or even lost productive time. I want it to win because my repetition will benifiet big time with such big project but they keep shutting me down. and when I leave they won’t let me alone. how should I handle this should I close this partnership and just reject the entire work or should I go blind into that meeting and risk looking unprepared. because I would only benifiet if I looked good and make some contact. submitted by /u/moon_pie_toon
