For 3 years I was pretty clueless. First half year was the most difficult: I was basically crawling through life. But sure… after some time the first real steps were made. First steps were unstable, but they were steps, and I was making forward progress. There were things within my reach now, which I could see right in front of me, but never seem to be able to grasp. But there were still some issues… even though I could see more into the distance what was in front of me, every single day… for a long time I was still unable to make it clear to other people what I wanted. Suddenly, this all changed… I started reading and learning about different tools and utilities. How did I get there you think? Rules Skills Instructions It was THAT simple. For three years I was completely blind, lost, and mostly on the floor, trying to put a square peg in a round hole. But this all changed after Rules, Skills and Instructions became part of my daily routine. It wasn’t long before I could go to the toilet unattended at school to do a poopey, and let me tell you: That first time I still remember to this day. The next week: Tying my shoelaces became a no-brainer. The next month: Basic arithmetic. What this has taught me: Even when you’re still unsure about everything, and don’t think you can do it, take those small baby steps and keep moving forward. submitted by /u/Manfluencer10kultra
