I have been using Claude Code now for about 8 months and have always wanted to try out new features and the newest models right when they come out. About 4 weeks ago I turned off auto-update because I was sick of new features getting added in multiple times each week and having to constantly update my workflow based on these features. Although I will acknowledge that some of the features were very useful. Because of that I am still on 2.1.29 using sub-agents rather than agent teams. As well as using Opus 4.5 as Opus 4.6 is not one of the selectable options (I know you can do the direct model call but still I keep it between Opus 4.5 and Sonnet 4.5). I’m curious if other people do the same thing or if a majority of people want the newest/best as soon as it comes out. submitted by /u/AlwaysMissToTheLeft
