In case you didn’t know, Anthropic has just announced Claude Mythos Preview, a model focused on cybersecurity that isn’t yet available to the public. They’re developing it as part of an internal program called Project Glasswing. But, honestly, what really worries me isn’t Mythos. It’s that Opus has been performing poorly for a while now… It used to be their most capable model, and now there are many people (myself included) who find it more superficial, ignoring what you say to it, as if they’d tweaked it on the quiet without telling anyone. And Anthropic hasn’t offered any explanation. Am I the only one who feels that something strange has been going on with the models lately?
