Hi everyone! I’m planning to drive from Bellinzona to Germany (around Lindau / southern Germany). The fastest route seems to go through a short stretch of highway in Austria (A14), but it requires a vignette even for just a few kilometers. Is it worth buying the vignette for that short section? Or is there an easy alternative route without needing one, for example via local roads (St. Margrethen → Lustenau → Bregenz)? I’m especially interested in practical tips: is the no-vignette route well signposted? Does it add much time? Any common mistakes to avoid?
