I don’t have a significant other, but since I was a child I used to fantasize about eloping. I think weddings are a scam. Even with the bare minimum, just a reception, family only (I have a big family), I have to feed them all and that’s gonna be a couple thousand. I need a venue. Gonna be a couple thousand. And I think that’s worth it for someone who cares about it, but I simply don’t. I think it’s the epitome of romance to be able to get married without all the jazz, on a random Tuesday. Like, there’s something romantic about being so in love that you skip the superficial entirely. But anyway, I’ve been operating under the assumption that my future husband doesn’t care, so I’m just wondering what the thoughts of some of the male population actually are. submitted by /u/jaynotbird
