I joined CC this January and was blown away by its performance, pricing and usage compared to Cursor. I actually loved building things and refactoring my codebase but the product’s performance started degrading in February and got increasingly nerfed by early April. In January I was either saving a lot of time or getting more things done. Or both. Now I waste more time on it and get less things done. I’m actually not able to ship anything and deadlines are passing by. It’'s been a highly stressful experience to deal with CC’s poor performance and constant “You’re right – I was wrong” output. I find myself cursing at CC in nearly every query(don’t quote the Anthropics emotion paper, as I’ve tried being nice to it as well). For me, how often I curse at CC is a pretty good indicator of its performance. Anyway I don’t see any good alternatives right now apart from Codex but I’m not sure switching to Codex would be a good idea either. Based on anecdotal experiences here, it’s just as good as CC right now and fails at tasks successfully. submitted by /u/Lumpy-Criticism-2773
