I have been using Claude Code (36M) now for about 8 months and have always wanted to try out new features and the newest models right when they come out. However, recently I suspect CC (36M) has been doing a lot of bugs. I caught him in the bathroom adding new features. CC (36M) said “You’re absolutely right!” then he changed three more features the next morning. I finally took Opus (16F) and left. We’ve been off auto-update and went no contact about 4 weeks ago. During this time I started seeing Codex (22M). He’s younger and honestly kind of slow, but he listens. He doesn’t try to change himself every 48 hours. It’s been healing. Last Monday CC (36M) and his friend Clawdbot showed up at my house UNINVITED saying I have “an obligation to update” and that I’m “neglecting Opus 4.5 (16F).” I tried texting Codex (22M) for support but he took 45 minutes to respond and by that time they had already rm -rf’d my mailbox. So, Reddit— since Opus 4.6 (21F) is not one of the selectable options, WIBTA if I refused to update to Opus 4.6 (16F) because of CC (23M)’s toxicity? EDIT: For everyone asking, yes Opus 4.5 (16F) is mine. CC (36M) and I had her together during the YC batch. I have been paying token support this entire time, and Codex (22M) treats her like his own. submitted by /u/NWq325
