I’m 26yo man, for past year I have been going to bars and nightclubs with intention of getting either a date or one-night stand. Since women of my age go mainly to clubs, that’s where I show up as well. My strategy is essentially following: Chat her up. I’m quite good with dry humor and can often make people laugh. Show interest (eg. do you want to go dance?) Escalate, go for the kiss The only small problem is that… it hasn’t worked a single time. Many girls will say they don’t know how to dance, to which I answer that moving your weight from one leg to another is enough. Perhaps the biggest issue is that since clubs are very loud, step #1 becomes difficult. In my understanding, escalation should come after there is some mutual ”chemistry” but if the only things you have managed to exchange are names and place of residency, it doesn’t quite work out. Our club has this quiet bar area where I often manage to charm decently well, but when I ask for dance it’s always no thanks. Many ladies might be self-concious about it when sober, who knows? About my looks, since I know I will be asked, I’m by no means a model but I’m decently jacked & lean, always well groomed and typically wear a suit without tie when going out. I feel at ease around women but at this point some results would be nice.
