I’ve been seeing posts about usage limits being severely downgraded and kinda just wrote them off because it wasn’t happening to me… until today. used opus 4.6 medium effort to audit my claude.md- no subagents, mcp servers, fresh conversation etc. ~80k input tokens total, and cost me 16% of my 5-hour limit using (on the 5x max subscription). I’m not sure what the hell happened on Anthropic’s side of things, but this is a complete waste of money if I can do the same on codex, with literally 50x more usage for 1/5 of the price. submitted by /u/ArcticMooss
